Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a sweet, playful 6 year old black lab/pitbull mix. She originally was found running the streets of Taylor Ranch with no owner to be found. She was barely 10 lbs and just a puppy, and though we thought her owner must be looking for her no one ever came looking for this little angel. We took her in, had her vaccinated, spayed and after about 6 months we found her a home. Unfortunately within a years' time the adoptive family could no longer keep her due to circumstances beyond their control. Though she came back to us a bit depressed and wondering what she had done wrong she has now returned to the bubbly girl she once was. She is housetrained and crate trained. She loves to go on walks. She is deserving of a place to call home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Rio Rancho Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Rio Rancho, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Rio Rancho.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rio Rancho already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rio Rancho breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rio Rancho paves the way for another one to be saved.
