found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Atticus is a Chinese Crested Dachshund mix! Yep, A naked wienie dog!!! Seems to be a mix of a standard, black & tan, wirehaired doxy and a hairless crested. He has a tiny bit of hair on the top of his head, a tiny bit on his feet and on his tail, then some stragglers on his back. He is almost 8” tall at the top of his shoulders and slightly over weight but on a healthy diet and almost down to his ideal weight!
Atticus is about 4 or 5 years old. He loves all people, he will bark at strangers when they are outside but once they come through the door he loves them too. He has not met a person he does not love. He is also great with other pets. I have three children ranging in age from 5 to 16, he follows them around wherever they go, he loves to snuggle with anyone who will snuggle with him. If the kids or my other dogs are running around playing he is right there with them, he also likes to chase and “kill” a ball or a dog toy but he is not good at bringing it back to you, you have to take it from him if you want to play fetch because he would rather “kill” it once he “catches” it.
Atticus is the sweetest foster baby I have had here. He loves everyone, has perfect potty manners, he is crate trained, he loves to travel, learns very quickly (he has learned a few new tricks since he has been here) I can not find any faults with this boy. He is just perfect! And those adorable looks are just the icing on the cake! My kids think he looks like “Max” the dog from the Grinch. HAHA I think they are right (well, except of course, he does not have fur all of that fur to stick to your furniture and clothes)
If you think Atticus is the boy for you, please read our Adoption Procedure Information Sheet before contacting the Foster Home for information on how to adopt.
*Note: Atticus is being fostered in Indiana.
