My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chopsticks is a very very very special dog to us here at RRH. Did we mention she’s special? She was left as a pup (3 years ago) with her littermates in a shopping cart and was saved by volunteers in rescue. Her brothers and sisters were adopted quickly but since she was born with no knees or ankles in her hind quarters, no one adopted her! We took her in to foster her, fell in love and within weeks, she could walk and run (fast,I might add) like any other normal dog!

There is no surgery needed for her “imperfection” and she is healthy as an ox! We originally planned to keep her since she was just the happiest dog that ever walked the earth!! However, since we are constantly needed to rescue more dogs, and because she’s really yearning for more human attention, we decided to finally find her a FOREVER family. We're sure that the one lucky enough to adopt her will be very thankful that we let her go!

This dog, because of her silly gait and happy demeanor, will make everyone smile! We've even brought her to schools and children’s homes because she is guaranteed to keep a smile on your face ALL of the time!

She only weighs about 25 pounds and loves pretty much anyone she meets. Oh yeah, she adores her crate so she MUST be crated when home alone and we warn you- whatever you do...DO NOT LEAVE animal planet on the TV! She is so OBSESSED with watching TV and “Finding Nemo" (her very favorite movie). I can assure you, you have NEVER, IN YOUR LIFE, seen a dog more preoccupied with the television! She watches everything, and even takes breaks during commercials! You have to meet her and see it to believe it!
