Annie's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Brown Tabby | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Short |
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Annie and friends came from a no-kill shelter in Macon that had to shut down. The shelter needed to find new homes or rescues for all of the cats and we agreed to take in five. It is so hard finding homes or rescues for a large number of cats in a certain amount of time, so we were glad that we were able to help them. The cats have been through a lot of changes in the past few weeks so they are a little confused about their new surroundings, but they are settling in nicely and are doing great. They are all lovely cats and we hope they are on their way to exciting new lives!
When I went to spend time with Annie she looked a little sad and confused. When I reached over to pet her she hissed at me, but then she told me she was just kidding and started purring. Annie likes attention and enjoys being petted but with all the changes in her life lately, she doesn’t understand what is going on. Once a little time passes and we all spend time with her, I think she will be OK. She is a darling girl that deserves a loving home.
Update-Annie has come a long way since she first came to Good Mews! She is still shy and may pull back when you pet her, but once you start stroking her, she loves it. When you call her name, she will meow. She has a kitty buddy working with her and she can scoop Annie into her lap and she will stretch out on her legs and snuggle in while being rubbed and stroked. She really is a loving girl that would like to have a home of her own.
