Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jack and B.B. were found in a barn outside of Houston. Jack resembles his mom, an Australian Cattle dog, or Heeler as they are also called. B.B. resembles his dad, who must have been a German Shepherd Dog or mix thereof.
At first Jack and B.B. seemed like happy healthy puppies, but at about 2 months of age, it became apparent and has been confirmed that they both have neurological issues. Jack started having trouble walking, and over 3 months time deteriorated to not being able to get up at all without assistance. Thanks to many generous donors, Jack was able to get a wheel chair custom made for him. He doesnt have use of his front legs, and his back legs are very weak but he has enough strength in them to get the chair rolling and seems to enjoy being mobile again.
B.B.s deterioration is progressing much more slowly, and although his hind legs give out sometimes and its hard for him to get up from smooth surfaces, he is still is able to run and play. B.B. is very low key, and loves to be near people and other dogs. He loves everyone, even cats. B.B. DESPERATELY NEEDS A FOSTER HOME TO CARE FOR HIM.
Dr. Hicks at Canine Health Institute suggested that both Jack and B.B. go to Texas A & M Veterinary School for testing, with the glimmer of hope that something can be done for them. We have started a new donation fund for Jack and B.B. together to get them to Texas A & M! Please donate to help Jack and B.B. No amount is too small. At the very least these two adorable happy puppies will need special care for the duration of their lives. You can donate on-line at http://www.bustersfriends.org/helpingpaw_5.shtml.
Thank you.
Jack is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm neg.
