Maggie's Story...
Maggie is a 3 year old female Bichon Frise. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Maggie wants nothing more than to be loved. Her life hasn`t been a fairy tale; She arrived dirty, scared, and undernourished. Her previous owners were not equipped to give her the proper and basic care she needed. Maggie has been in foster care for a few months and has absolutely flourished. With the support of her canine foster siblings and her foster mom, she has become a lot more confident and outgoing. She finally knows what it feels like to be loved and a part of a family.

Maggie is a very sweet dog with an excellent temperament. She is very laid back and quiet. She is great with other dogs and cats. She enjoys being in the company of people, and is good with kids. She is very good on a leash and likes to go for walks. Maggie has been trained to use a dog door, and lets herself outside for her bathroom breaks. She is doing great with her house training in her foster home. Maggie is very sensitive and compassionate; She worries when she hears a puppy whimpering, or a dog crying in its kennel, and will sit next to it until they stop. She has visited Sask Hospital several times and does phenomenally well with the patients. Because she is a non-shedding dog, any adopter will need to commit to having her groomed every 3 months.

Maggie would do well in a home where there is someone who is home most of the time, or has another smaller dog or cats to keep her company. She also needs someone to be patient with her and give her the comforting environment that she needs. She has been through a lot in her short life, but has proven that she is able to overcome her hardships and be a really fantastic dog.

Maggie is looking for a loving home that will be able to give her that happily ever after ending she`s always been dreaming about. Will you rescue this damsel in distress?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Meadow Lake Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise for sale in Meadow Lake, or seeking a Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Meadow Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meadow Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meadow Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise breeders who help with Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meadow Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
