Sugar's Story...
Sugar aka Shug is a 2 and one-half year old sable female of average size. Have you ever wanted a dog that is smart? One that is eager to please? One that plays well with others? One that loves to cuddle? One that chases a toy and brings it back to you? One that would do anything for a tummy rub? Well, we have got just the girl for you! Sugar (or “Shug” as she prefers) is a bright, vibrant sweetheart seeking someone to share the joy of a forever home. She is a little skittish around loud noises and is 99% housetrained. She is remarkably intelligent and quickly learned “walk, don’t run” and "no jumping up on people" with minimal training. She loves meeting new people as well as new fellow canines. She would be wild about going home with you, though she does noes not ride well in the car loose, but she is perfectly fine in a crate in the car. Shug hasn't been around small children so we feel older children would be best. 10+

Sugar is located in the Los Angeles County area. Please fill out an application at http://www.adoptasheltie.com/application.html so a volunteer can contact you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a La Habra Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in La Habra, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in La Habra.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Habra already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Habra breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Habra paves the way for another one to be saved.
