My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petey was born sometime around April 2010. He was dumped on a Good Samaritan’s porch along with several cans of cat food but Petey was much too friendly to live outside as a barn cat. This charming boy deserves a home where he can cuddle up with his people and be spoiled.

Petey is a very handsome medium-haired black and white youngster. He has a fluffy, showy tail and he keeps his beautiful coat impeccably clean, as you can see from his gleaming bib and paws.

Petey gets along well with the other cats in his foster home, but he has a bit too much energy for the older cats. He is very active and would like to find a home with a young cat buddy who will enjoy pouncing and being pounced upon. Petey also wants his people to spend some time playing with him. His very favorite toy is the laser light, but he also enjoys Da Bird and any mouse he can fling in the air and chase. When he is all tuckered out he allows his people to hold him, admire his loveliness, and shower him with affection, and the reward is always a satisfied purr.

Petey, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been neutered, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Petey, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
