Clifford's Story...
[My neuter has been sponsered by Pam!} I was found on the side of the highway with my head resting on the curb. The lady who rescued me thought I was dead! But lucky for me – I wasn’t!! So you are probably wondering about this photo of me – I’m a bit camera shy. And besides, I’m a black kitten and there are so many black kittens and cats out there I thought I’d better do something to get your attention. I can really jump high as you can see! If you want to see my cute little face you’ll just have to come visit – please do ‘cause I’d really like to find a forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clifford, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
