Joey's Story...
Paw Placement rescued my litter of siblings from Apache Junction Animal Care & Control. Many people dont realize how many kittens are born into Arizona each year - and how many must be euthanized at kill-shelters because there are no homes for us. I am lucky to be alive - I know this. I am even luckier to have people who want to place me into a home where I will be cared for always. So far I have beat the odds and have lived a blessed life. I promise to bring blessings of love and companionship to your life if you adopt me. I am playful and loving. Please be aware that I plan to live a long life (up to twenty years). So, if you want to share your life with me understand what that commitment means. So many animals wind up homeless each year because people adopt them only to discard them when life changes occur. I have already dodged death once - I ask now to be kept with you safely for the however long I live.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
