My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Time to tell you about Jake! He’s our wonderful, loving Plott Hound!
One day, right in front of our driveway, a man in a small pickup, drove
up and literally put Jake out on the pavement! He drove off, leaving Jake
to wonder what just happened to him! He saw our other dogs in the
pens in our backyard and trotted down the driveway to see us. He was
very underweight, and we couldn’t just let him continue to wander around
in the country. He’s very friendly and sweet, and we were able to get a leash on
him to take him to the vet here. Our Vet used to raise Plotts, so he
identified him immediately.. He said he looked about 2 yrs old, and that
Jake was probably gun-shy, that’s why the man got rid of him, since he
was probably a hunter. Well, we had him neutered and given his shots.

Jake is the consummate watchdog, barking at everything that doesn’t belong
in our yard or on our property. But toward us, he’s very loyal and affectionate, not a kisser,
but he loves to bury his head in your chest while you rub and pet him. He never
even play-bites like many dogs. As with most hounds he just wants to run around and
sniff every thing!

Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN at our parent rescues . We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Maine area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and puppies in loving homes from Tennessee clear up to Canada!
We have many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and we can pass along that information for your convenience.
