My name is Andy!

Dachshund Dog for adoption in Portland, Oregon - Andy

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Andy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Andy's Story...
I am a rotund but perky mature gentleman who has found myself in need of
a new home. I couldn’t believe it either but my last “family” just left
me by the side of the road. Needless to say I am still feeling a little
shocked and unsettled. That was pretty hard to take! I am starting to
feel better and adjust here and I have made some new friends. I am
housebroken and cats and being kenneled don’t bother me at all. Kids 8+ will be just fine too. I would
love to find a home where I can start off with some short walks and get
fit again. Hey, maybe on the way home we could stop and get some squeaky
toys, I love those! Whadda ya think? 7 years old-27lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, neuter , 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andy, a Portland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
