Izzy's Story...
Izzy is a 5-month-old male neutered domestic short hair. He was dropped off at a shelter when he was 3 weeks old and rescued just before he was to be euthanized. He is an energetic boy who loves to play and he pretty much purrs all the time. He gets along well with the other cats and dog he lives with in his foster home. He loves to be around other cats so he would do better in a home with other cats. Izzy has received 2 FVRCP vaccines, is dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. Please contact the Orphan Kitten Project if you would like to meet Izzy!

Please reference the kitten id number if you are interested in this kitten. The orphan kitten project has many more kittens than are listed. Please contact us to see more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Izzy, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
