Matsu's Story...
Matsu the Mom Cat gave birth and raised a litter of 6 kittens that were born at the end of July. They were all taken into a foster home under the Orphan Kitten Project. Now that the kittens are weaned and most of them adopted, she is longing for a permanent home too.

Though she was found as a stray cat in a backyard, she turned out to be very friendly. She would rub against your legs and meow softly, asking you to pet her soft, shiny hair. She loves to be brushed too, purring and kneading her eyes half-closed. Surprisingly, her medium-length hair coat does not shed much at all. Her favorite toys include plastic jingle balls and fishing pole toys.

Matsu is spayed, current on her FVRCP vaccines and dewormers, and tested FeLV negative.

Please reference the kitten name and id if you are interested in this kitten. The orphan kitten project has many more kittens than are listed. Please contact us to see more.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Matsu, a Davis Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
