My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blake! Blake is a 1 year old black and tan bi-colored male. He is very active and playful, and loves people.

Blake is NOT good with small children. We suspect he may have been aggravated/picked on by kids in his former home. He gets very nervous and anxious around them. Blake will not be placed in a home with children under 12; no exceptions.

Blake is great with other dogs, and loves to play with them. He is not at all interested in being the alpha. He is perfectly content to just be'one of the boys.' he is not, however, good with cats. He will chase them, and does appear to mean business.

Blake is utd with routine vaccinations, and flea/tick prevention. He is neutered and has been microchipped. Unfortunately, he did test positive for heartworm disease, but has already begun treatment for it. He will be ready for his forever home on July 22.

Please Click Here to fill out an application. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until this has been completed and received.

Blake must go to an indoor home where he will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.

Note: Mid-South Shepherd Rescue is a no-kill, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
