This handsome boy, along with his litter mates, was dumped on our road in 2009. They were around 6 months old at that time. His siblings were adopted immediately but he was left behind. It took a long time for him to grow to love people as much as he loves other dogs, and even now it takes time to gain his trust.

He is great on a leash, in a crate, and in a kennel.

High prey drive for outdoor animals (rabbits, chickens, squirrels). He coexists peacefully with indoor and outdoor cats on the farm.

Loves to be with the pack! Even though he might not interact with most people, he loves to be among humans and dogs and enjoys being included.

The fact that small kids are eye-level with him seems to make him nervous, so he will back or run away while barking or growling and that scares kids. He needs someone with experience that is willing to work with him further on a one on one basis because it takes him a while to trust new people (he wouldn't be good left alone in a yard or off leash until a long term bond has been established with his new owner(s)).

Very loving and smiley. He deserves a forever home of his own! Microchipped. His nervousness is likely to result in him being a permanent sanctuary resident. Please consider sponsoring his care with a one time or recurring donation.
