April's Story...
My name is April and I've just been rescued from Tri-County Animal Shelter (TCAS) where I had seven (7) babies on April 14. That's right -- seven babies. The wonderful people at TCAS kept us safe until they found a rescue group to take us. I've had my flea treatment and my first shot and a pedicure. Life is good! I'm in my foster home now and I'm getting lots of help from my foster mom and my two boys in taking care of my kittens. We are part of the "Coming events that Friends of Felines (FOF) has each kitten season. I sure hope someone is interested in me too. I am really being a good mom and I love attention. Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Port Republic Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
