Timmy's Story...
HI everyone...Timmy here! I am a very sweet purebred beagle boy. I have been through obedience school and am perfectly healthy! I am great with other dogs, cats and older kids. Why is a dog like me searching for a new home?? Well, my first family got frustrated with me for stealing food from the littlest kids in the house. Well, I am a beagle afterall! It's what we do :) I am looking for a playmate..someone who understands beagles and loves our traits. I am neutered and up to date on all shots. I love to go on walks and love to play too. If you think you'd like me to move in, please complete the adoption application and let's get started! Oh..I do need a fenced yard...and am best with kids over the age of 7.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timmy, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
