Misty's Story...
Misty is a sweet girl who loves to play and make new friends. You would never know from her personality and spirit that our vet estimates her to be around 10 years old. She is energetic and playful. She loves to go for her walks and she gets along fine with other dogs and cats.

Misty has had a couple of seizures in the month and a half that she has been in foster care but her bloodwork looks great - indicating that her seizures are caused by something in her brain. At this time Misty does not need medication and as long as the seizure frequency does not increase she will not need medication. Please don't let Misty's seizures distract from what a wonderful dog she is and how she desperately wants a home of her own.

If you are interested in finding out more about Misty, please fill out an application on our website, www.brokentailrescue.org. Misty is being fostered in Woburn, Ma.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty, a Worcester Chihuahua/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pomeranian for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pomeranian breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
