My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sally appears to be a mix of long haired dachshund and ??? . We were charmed by her cute face and agreed to take her from a high kill shelter. Boy are we glad we did. She's the perfect dog and it's not just her foster mom that thinks so. On her second day in foster care, the dog walker who takes our dogs on pro bono beach outings, decided to include Sally. Later that afternoon, the phone rang. It was the dog walker who said that new foster dog is the best dog she has ever had on her doggie outings. Sally is so well behaved and so good with new people and the other dogs. Everyone at the beach loved her. Given the number of dogs the dog walker has dealt with, this is high praise indeed.

Sally is quiet and crates beautifully at night. She is friendly to all. Other dogs are just fine with her. She appears to have had a number of litters in the past but that part of her life is over now and she is regaining her figure. Sally would be great for a family or a home with steps (as a mix, stairs are not the issue for her that they are for purebred doxies). She has a sweet, calm personality. We think Sally would be fine as an only dog and she would be equally happy having a canine sibling.
