Morrissa's Story...
AARF only adopts in Richmond, Virginia area. Hello! Look at us!! We are a litter of pups that were rescued with our mom, Nilla when we were only a day old! We were born on September 16, 2010 and are already weighing in at 8 to 12 pounds each!! We are a ball of energy and fun, we love kids and other dogs, but have not been around a cat, yet!! But we are young and should get along with them, fine. Our favorite thing to do right now, is to break down the baby gate, in the middle of the night and run around our foster moms house until she can catch all 10 of us!!! HEEHEE For more information: or visit us at our pet adoption stand Saturdays from 11-3 at the Petsmart on Libbie Ave and Broad St.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Morrissa, a Richmond Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
