SIMON's Story...
Simon was born in 2009. He is a White Oriental/Siamese mix male with crystal blue eyes. He spent a few months in the shelter system until we pulled him out. Simon is ready now for a forever home. He is not deaf and he is even prettier than his pictures. Simon is a love bug. Please contact us if you would like to meet this special boy.

INFO: All of our rescues have been to a Vet as needed and are current with their Vaccinations, Spayed/Neutered and have been treated for Parasites as needed. Our feline rescues have been Blood Tested For FELV/FIV and are Negative, unless otherwise indicated. ALL of our rescues are Microchipped.

NOTE: Photos of cats/kittens with cage bars, or merchandise, in the background have been taken during one of our adoption events. (We do not keep our rescues caged!) Cats/Kittens are sometimes scared at the adoption events so their photos will NOT do them justice.

For additional information, or to schedule a time to see this cat, SEND US AN EMAIL (please do not call us) and PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN THE EMAIL.
DON'T FORGET to check our website for information.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
The primary purpose of Precious Paws is to rescue abandoned and/or abused companion animals. These animals may be found on the streets, in shelters, or even relinquished by their owners. All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested and healthy before they are placed for adoption into new homes. This will be the main focus of all of our activities. It provides the public with the service of the humane rescue of animals and saves the lives of animals that are in need. These animals will be placed into the homes of our volunteers to be cared for until they are adopted and placed into their new permanent homes. These permanent homes will be found mainly through adoption events which will generally be held at pet stores.

Our Adoption Process...
We have an adoption procedure and questionnaire. Pending approval, based on questionnaire, in-person interview, reference checks and review of all information by our board of directors, we schedule home placements and have adoption contracts. We provide a two-week trial period and a lifetime return policy. NO pet is released from our adoption events at Petco. As stated above, we do home placements.

Note: Not everyone who applies for a pet will get a pet. This has more to do with the pet than with the applicant. However, every application will be considered, and is deeply appreciated!

There is more in depth information available on our website. www.PreciousPaws.org

If you plan on coming out to visit us at our adoption event, please call Petco in Glendale first to ensure we are there.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Precious Paws adopts their pets out locally in the San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley and other areas of Los Angeles County. We do not do long distance placements. We find that local placements are the best because we can continue to be there for the new adopters through the life of the animal if need be.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SIMON, a Encino Oriental cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Oriental for sale in Encino, or seeking a Oriental cat from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Oriental breeders who help with Oriental rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
