Max's Story...
Max gets along great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. He is great with kids too. Although he is a big boy, he isn't rough and doesn't try to jump on them. Max is not a barker....the only time he does bark is when he is trying to get his foster sister to play with him! Max does have a little mischievous streak in him. He loves chewing on fabric....towels, socks, blankets, you name it. His game is grabbing a sock that he finds and then running around the house with it in his mouth....he thinks he's so cute when he does that! He can be redirected pretty easily to a nylabone, kong or beef bone, though.

It took a while to teach him, but Max has finally mastered the sit command. He walks pretty well on a leash, too.....he pulls a bit, but does respond well when you correct him. He will need further training by his new family and he should catch on to other commands in no time. Come meet Max soon... he is really a great dog!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Coppell Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
