Blaize's Story...
My name is Blaize, and if ever there was a gentle big dog, I’m it. My brother, Brutus, and I are only 9 months old, but we are not your typical puppy-sized dog. I weigh 70 pounds and still have some “filling out” to do. Our elderly owner passed away, and no one wanted to take care of us or my 17 year old dog friend, Samantha, anymore. It was very sad and traumatic, and now all 3 of us are waiting for forever homes. I would say that I LOVE people…if you say my name, I will come over and lick your face one or two times to show my appreciation. I am housetrained, and good with adults, children, other dogs and cats. What more could you ask for! I am a good leash walker, too. The other dogs at the shelter make a lot of noise sometimes, and that makes me nervous, and I don’t like to walk past all of their runs when they’re all looking at me like that. It’s so scary! But if I am offered a quieter route for my walks, the only two things that exist in this world are me and you, and that’s the way I like it. Could it be like that forever? Please say “yes” and come visit me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blaize, a Huntingdon Rottweiler/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Collie for sale in Huntingdon, or seeking a Rottweiler/Collie puppy from a breeder in Huntingdon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntingdon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntingdon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Collie breeders who help with Rottweiler/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntingdon paves the way for another one to be saved.
