Alfie's Story...
Alfie is a light tan, terrier mix. He was born on approximately February 28, 2006. He weighs 4 pounds and may weigh around 25 pounds as an adult. However, we do not think he will get that big. He will be neutered prior to being adopted. Alfie is an adorable, sweet puppy. He is not a barker. He has non-contagious demodex mange and will probably be taking medicine until mid-September. He is healing nicely. This dog cannot be adopted out of state. Please see our home page for a list of our Saturday adoption sites. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please call Penny Adams at 619-466-0426.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alfie, a Spring Valley Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Spring Valley, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Spring Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spring Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spring Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spring Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
