My name is Shadow!

Shar Pei Dog for adoption in Houston, Texas - Shadow

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Shadow's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Shadow's Story...
What a difference a year can make in the life of a rescue. Shadow has regained his trust of people and become the loving, playful and affection pet.

His proud and beautiful gait has remained the same, but his heart has opened and he is now the well socialized shar-pei.

Shadow is 4 years old and weighs between 60-65 lbs. He is neutered, HW (-), vaccinated and has had entropion surgery. He is crate trained; however he is well mannered and can be trusted even when left alone. Shadow loves people, children and most other dogs, but has a high prey instinct and does not tolerate cats.

So if you are that cat free family looking for a wonderful addition to your home its possible you might not need to look any further.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Houston Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
