This is Jackie. She is a female Australian Shepherd and maybe Rottweiler mix (we think) dog; about 4 yrs old. She was brought into the shelter when she was 6 weeks old. She had been found dropped off on a busy street corner with an injured right eye. We were at the shelter when she came in and we took her straight to our vet. Unfortunately her eye was badly damaged and could not be saved. That is how she got her name - one eyed Jackie.
Despite her misfortune early in life, Jackie is a real sweet heart. She plays well with the other foster dogs, both big and small, and likes to give lots of kisses. Jackie even seems to do well with cats. Jackie rides well in the car and is not a big barker. She loves to go for walks and is a good walker on a leash. She likes tennis ball fetch and likes to be by you. Overall, she has a very mellow, submissive disposition. She is a little shy with strangers, but, warms up quickly. Jackie is a more submissive dog and seems to get along with every foster dog we bring home. Jackie is spayed and is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. She is also housetrained. She would make someone a wonderful companion.
