SASHA's Story...

We are in need of a foster home for Sasha. If you are interested in fostering, please fill out our foster application here.

Hello, I am Sasha. I am a purebred malamute who just turned 9. I am really active and love going for walks. I even like to play fetch! I love being with the family and I love going for car rides. I like meeting new people and warm up to them right away. I need a refresher course on potty training, but I am a very good dog and eager to please. I do well with children, but please, no cats or other small creatures. I definitely need a 6' fence to keep me contained, and I would do best with a mellow male doggy companion, or as an only pet. I am a talker and will woo woo with you all day long! Fill out Moonsong's adoption application and take me home!

If you have any more questions about me, please call Melissa at 208-340-5958, or email Melissa - melissa@moonsongmals.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SASHA, a Boise Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Boise, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
