ADOPTION PENDING!
Sophie was resuced recently from a high kill shelter in NC. She had been found as a stray and was malnourished and full of ticks. A nice bath, some tweezers and some good food has set her on her way to becoming even more beautiful than these pictures exhibit. She is a very laid back dog and is so friendly and sweet. We are thinking that she may have spent most of her young life on a chain as when we walk her on a leash she'll go a few steps and stop right in front of us, like she thinks she can go no further. Well, we are working on the leash training and on boosting her confidence and are seeing improvement daily. She seems absolutely JOYFUL to play in the yard and obediently goes right back into her kennel when told to. She plays and romps with the other dogs and absolutely loves to be around people. Although not mandatory, we would love to see her go to a home with a fenced yard because we have seen the incredible change in her that freedom to run and play has brought.
Sophie is heartworm negative and on preventative. She is up to date on her shots.
