Parsley's Story...
Well, hi there! I'm Parsley! Yup, I'm just a little sprig of a girl. Aren't I pretty? As a 10 month old yellow Lab mix, how I could be anything but adorable? I had a rough beginning but am loving life in foster care. I really enjoy other dogs and would love a playmate of my own. For some reason, cats are not nearly as enthusiastic about me as I am about them. Hey, are you looking for a friend to take running with you? Are you interested in doing agility? I just might be your perfect match! I have energy to spare without being hyper. I'm told I might be able to attend something called obedience classes when I'm adopted. That sounds perfect to me! After all, I'm smart and I'm looking for love. Maybe we were meant to be together!

We require an application, phone interview and home visit prior to adoption. We will not discuss a specific dog with an applicant until the adoption process is completed. Our adoption fee for dogs under 9 months is $250, dogs between 9 months and 8 years is $195 and our super seniors are $175. Please visit our website for more information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parsley, a Evergreen Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Evergreen, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Evergreen.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evergreen already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evergreen breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evergreen paves the way for another one to be saved.
