Tonka's Story...
Tonka - when you look at his face it appears he is always smiling. Tonka is a very happy and well rounded young guy who gets along with all dogs, cats, and loves children. He bounces through the yard playing with his toys. He always has a toy in his mouth. He is full of life, but not high energy. A guy who loves to be on the go and enjoys family time. He is even sleeping in his foster dad's bed - yes, and is quite an electric blanket to cuddle up too. Tonka has a very soft coat, beautiful features and a wonderful disposition. Tonka is a real head turner and everyone that meets him is instantly smitten with his jubilant personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tonka, a Sherman Alaskan Malamute/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Husky for sale in Sherman, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Husky dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Husky breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
