Ray's Story...
Ray and his mom, Bella, arrived from a Nevada feedlot in August, 2009. Mom was very emaciated, but working hard to try and keep Ray well fed. However, Ray was a tiny, very thin, and sweet little guy. HeÂ’s growing into quite the handsome little man! Ray is quickly learning groundwork basics including leading, tying, backing from nose and chest pressure, yielding the forequarter & hindquarter and will readily follow his handler on lead. His temperament is very biddable and mellow, and would be suitable for a first time foal owner working under the guidance of a trainer. Will be vet checked, gelded, and current on vaccines, worming, dental and hoof care. http://www.allaboutequine.org/our-horses/available-horses/ray Pictures don't do justice for the character and appearance of our horses; please take time to schedule a visit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ray, a El Dorado Hills Paint/Pinto/Other/Unknown was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Paint/Pinto/Other/Unknown for sale in El Dorado Hills, or seeking a Paint/Pinto/Other/Unknown from a breeder in El Dorado Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Dorado Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Dorado Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Paint/Pinto/Other/Unknown breeders who help with Paint/Pinto/Other/Unknown rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Dorado Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
