Star's Story...
Story: Star and her mom, Jazzy, arrived from a Nevada feedlot on January 2, 2010. Star was a bit thin, and she had a nasty puncture wound on her right foreleg. Trainer Notes: Star is learning groundwork basics including leading, tying, backing from nose and chest pressure, yielding the forequarter & hindquarter and will readily follow his handler on lead. Her temperament is very biddable and mellow, and would be suitable for a first time foal owner working under the guidance of a trainer. Health: StarÂ’s wound is healing nicely; sheÂ’s gained weight, and sheÂ’s looking good! Issues: None. Adoption Fee: $450. Vet checked and current with vaccines, deworming, hoof and dental care.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a El Dorado Hills Quarterhorse/Other/Unknown was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Quarterhorse/Other/Unknown for sale in El Dorado Hills, or seeking a Quarterhorse/Other/Unknown from a breeder in El Dorado Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Dorado Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Dorado Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Quarterhorse/Other/Unknown breeders who help with Quarterhorse/Other/Unknown rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Dorado Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
