Sugar Babe was rescued from a Nevada feedlot by an AAE volunteer. She was very thin, and she had no apparent handling prior to arriving at the rescue. Sugar is a beautiful and dynamic little mare. She's very willing to let you work on any part of her body, but is ticklish about her ears, and still working a little with hands around her mouth. However, she will be easy to bridle when the time comes because she will lower her head and let you open her mouth. She faces you when you approach; yields hindquarters and will yield frontquarters and is easy to catch. She ties and loves being groomed, leads, and has been desensitized, is ok with ropes around her legs, tummy and flank area and tail, she lunges with ease on lead line and without, sidepasses and is responsive to the Âsending exercise and knows voice commands. She has never offered to bite, kick or show any signs of negative personality toward people or other horses, including pinning her ears. She is always eager to please and picks up new lessons quickly and remembers. She is low in the herd pecking order. Sugar is very sweet and easy to love, with flashy tobiano color and excellent conformation to match! Her hooves have been trimmed several times, and she's easy to handle. Sugar was exposed to stallions on the feedlot and could be pregnant. www.allaboutequine.org/our-horses/other-available/sugar-babe No good photos yet, and these don't do her justice. Please take time to schedule a visit to appreciate the character and presence of this mare.
