Lupine is a beautiful, sweet girl whose Border Collie traits are significantly pronounced. Consequently, she will need a home with guardians who are familiar with the breed and who are able to offer her the exercise and mental stimulation necessary to keep a Border Collie mentally and physically healthy. Long hikes on trails and agility training are two options that many successful Border Collie guardians provide for their dogs. Lupine is a classic herder, and as a result will chase runners, bikers, skateboarders, and cars-- basically anything moving fast. She should not be placed in a home with children, as they are likely to engage in activities that may provoke a herding response. Many people covet Border Collies for their keen intelligence and classic good looks; however, a prospective adopter should have a lifestyle that would enable him or her to provide Lupine with what she needs to succeed as a good canine citizen and as an integrated, active member of the household.
