Dart's Story...
Courtesy Listing! - Please contact Terrell and not the Downtown Dog Rescue.
Hi, my name is Buddy and I am so very friendly and sweet. But my official name is now Dart! I am half German Shepherd and half Doberman Pinscher, 12 months old, tall, handsome, young and beautiful. I was found in a nice neighborhood in Sherman Oaks with the tag missing from my collar. I was incarcerated at the dog pound and my owner never came to claim me--how could I have ended up there???? I'm very smart and know basic commands, and I do very well on the leash. I'm also a little taller looking than in my pictures. The person who found me, left me at the pound because he said he had dogs already. Things were not looking good in this
scary place, and if I had not been saved from here I would have ended up like Tramp from Lady And The Tramp. Please adopt me and let me know that I am loved--still. I was briefly at the person's house (who left me at the pound), stayed two nights, and behaved very nicely. I am energetic and
need regular exercise, and am not a couch potato. I am highly trainable, always waiting for my next command and people think that I would make a very good agility dog or working dog. I am around 68 pounds; I have been groomed, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, & vet-examined. New photos coming (these do not "do" my statuesque self any justice :o)
If you would like to meet me, please contact: terrell at 323-385-8993 or

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dart, a Los Angeles Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
