Cassie's Story...
Hi there! My name is Cassie and I'm a 1 1/2 year old beagle from Virginia ooking for a new home! Right now I live with my foster family and they're taking great care of me until I find my forever home. I'm a smart girl! I know how to sit, give paw and I am crate trained and keep my space clean as a whistle. To boot I'm up to date on all my vaccines, I'm getting spayed this week and I'll have a few days of quiet time so I can rest and relax! I get along very well with the other dogs here and I'd be fine in a family with kids as well. I like to interact with people and enjoy playtime, going on walks, running and chasing my friends around the yard. I'm not very vocal and I'm a happy dog overall. This picture doesn't really do me justice so stay tuned for a few new ones. In the meantime if you think that you'd be the right family for me please just ask about Cassie!

If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting this wonderful little girl, please complete an adoption application by visiting our web site, clicking the "adoption" tab, reading the guidelines, and submitting an application.

Our pets require an application and adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cassie, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
