Sally is a doxie/beagle mix. A curious combination and kind of goofy little dog. She's about 2 yrs old and was rescued at risk from a shelter. She's very shy right now, and we're letting her play in the yard to help her used to people. She gets along with other dogs though and seems like a gentle dog. Will update as we get to know her better.
She's under 20# and best friends with Slinky - in pix #3 with him!

Really doing well in her foster home with Punkin and other swell pals.  She now comes through the doggie door into the big bedroom to sleep on her own bed near her chums; plays and tumbles in the grass with Punkie, Rudy and Racine.  Ready for her own home!  Really loyal friend!

She's back with us and wants her own furever home now!

Are you my forever family?

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section where very thorough instructions await.  All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and  fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a new leash, collar, a coupon booklet from PetSmart and/or Petco, and all medical records.

The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs!  Loads of fun.  We can take about 10 dogs to the mobile events - check out our website for special events.

We can microchip and always love to board our graduates.  Check out the "Boarding" section of our web. Please bring the family and other dogs to visit any open house day/time.  Thanx!

About Beagles and Buddies

About Our Rescue Group...

www.beaglesandbuddies.com

Please visit our website before emailing... most everything about the adoption process is answered!

We hope this material will help you decide if a Beagles & Buddies canine companion should be in your future. If you're considering a "rescued companion", you will need to know that all dogs that enter our rescue are screened before they are available for adoption. They are checked for temperament problems, given all required vaccines, spayed or neutered and are socialized. A donation is requested as well as a signed adoption contract.

Donations range from $150 - $750 depending on the age and breed. We support our non-profit and no-kill sanctuary from funds generated by these donations, therefore, puppy and pure-bred donations, which are higher, help keep the older, less adoptable dogs from harms way. Our older dogs often require dental care, blood work and other attention. We also have a great track record at finding our older canine companions great homes, as well!

We are looking for serious people and families who will be responsible canine companion adopters; which means making the dog part of your family, providing inside/outside homes, quality food, veterinary care, attending training classes and making a commitment to the dog for the rest of its' life, through good times and bad.

If you fit this description, we look forward to helping you find a canine companion suitable for your family - because that's what we do best!

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION:

Beagles & Buddies is a no-kill sanctuary for unwanted or abandoned dogs, established in 1992 as the official breed rescue for Beagles and other hound dogs.

We specialize in purebred and mixed Beagles, but we also rescue Basset, Blue and Red Tick, Plott, Black and Tans, Tree Walker Coon Hounds, Dachshunds, and (mostly small) dogs of other breeds.

The kennel is a member of H.A.R.T. a nonprofit animal welfare and social service agency serving Southern California.

Beagles & Buddies volunteers work tirelessly to find secure, happy new homes for as many of the resident dogs as possible.
