Stormy's Story...
This beautiful black brush coat is the perfect age at 2 years old. Just reaching adulthood he is still energetic, ready to play but past the chewing and puppy traits that can keep an owner hopping. Stormy arrived on NASPR’s doorstep via an animal shelter where he and his partner had been turned in by their owner. Reportedly there was a family member that had allergies and they could no longer keep the pair of them.

Stormy loves to play with the other dogs at his foster home. He is crate trained, house trained and is learning that good house manners mean good treats and lots of loving. He is neutered, current on vaccination and HW negative. He will be undergoing entropian surgery the first week of August and then will be ready to start his new life.

Stormy loves exploring his new foster yard, playing with all his new and exciting toys and passing the time watching out the window as people pass by. You never know one of those people just might be his new family.

This boy is the perfect addition to any home and will bring years of joy and love to your home and family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stormy, a Houston Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei for sale in Houston, or seeking a Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei breeders who help with Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
