Raja is a 10-11 yr old, med size, Pure GSD, and abuse and sadness is thought to make up the early years of Raja's life. As a result everyone advised us to euthanize Raja and only take her 9 pups out of animal control, we refused.
Raja's name translates to "the hopeful one" in Arabic and that was exactly what we had for Raja, hope for her to overcome her past. While Raja lost her 9 pups to distemper, she herself ovecame the deadly viral disease and has learned that she will be treated like an Angel from now on. Possitive reinfocement and a lot of love has made Raja blossom into her own as she now absolutely craves human attention and she is now ready to find a home.
Raja loves to play with other dogs, is housetrained, walks great on a leash, and thrives on pleasing people she trusts. She is the model of how patience and love can transform a dog, will you be the one to give Raja the life she's only dreamt about?
Raja is NOT good with kids, is NOT good with strangers, and will need an experienced canine handler. Someone with military or police dog handling is a plus.
Raja is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and comes with lifetime support from Kim Kapes a K9 Relations Specialist.
Multiple visits to meet Raja at IHWN and then be introduced to the prospective adopter's home is required.
