Daphne's Story...
Two of these three pictures are from when Daphne's puppies were first born. The pups are nearly ready for adoption and Daphne is totally ready to go. She is a lovely wild boar mini dachshund weighing about 12 pounds. Daphne was born on November 29, 2006 so will soon be 4 years old. She came from a commercial breeder so is a bit shy but not so much as to keep her from being adopted. She's a lovely girl and sweet as can be.

Daphne is spayed, up to date on all shots, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventive, on flea preventive, microchipped and has had a dental cleaning. Even with all of that done, her adoption fee is only $200!!! Such a deal! Current pix to follow.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daphne, a House Springs Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in House Springs, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in House Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in House Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a House Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in House Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
