My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Granger and they tell me that I’m a little mutt puppy – only 11 weeks old in late November. :-) That’s nothing to be ashamed of though, because I’m just a great little guy and maybe I'm a 'designer mix' that no one has figured out. We think I might be a terrier mix possibly, but whatever the combo I’m darn cute and really loving.
I’m not going to get very big; maybe fifteen to twenty pounds at the most. That's a chihuahua I'm with in one of the pictures. HART rescued me from a rural high kill shelter in Kentucky. I'm so happy to be out of that cold wet and scarey place.
I love romping around with all of my other brothers and sisters, even the cats. My foster mom thinks it’s cute and laughs whenever I crouch down and bark while wagging my tail to let them know I want to play. After playing, I love to snuggle on the couch for a nap and will sneak in a kiss any chance I get. I’m mostly crate trained and working on house training, but that will need to continue in my new home as I’m still a puppy. She puts me puts me in the crate with another one of her dogs so I don’t get lonely. When I first went home with her, I used to whine and cry whenever I was crated by myself. I’m doing much better now because I realize she’s coming back and won’t leave me like my last family did.
I’m a very happy go lucky puppy. Car rides are an absolute blast and I’m learning how to walk on a leash like a gentleman. I also love kids and follow my eleven year old boy around all over the place. I would love to have a boy and perhaps another dog to play with. I would make a wonderful addition to any home. I’d love to find a loving home and a family of my own for the holidays.
All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks! www.rescueAhart.org
