My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miss Tonks. Tonks is 4 years old and was turned into animal control with her puppies, the Harry Potter Puppies. She is very sweet. She was separated from her puppies not too long ago so the milk still has to dry out. Give her a few weeks and she will be in top shape!

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM: She has excellent manners and is extremely smart. She knows quite a few commands, walks well on a leash and will do just about anything for a nibble of food. She appears to be completely housetrained and loves to follow me everywhere. She will fit well into any home that wants some labbie love. I believe based on her personality and small size that she may have some beagle blood as well. She has many traits that remind me of the beagles I grew up with.

UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM : Tonks is adjusting well to her foster home and has not had a single accident in the house. Before she realized she had a dog door she would lead me to the door and paw it it to let her out. She is incredibly smart and sweet as can be. She doesn't mind cats too much but does like to chase them for fun. She has a dominant female personality and may do better in a home with a male dog or gentle, submissive female dog. The only tussles we have had have been over food or a toy. Her recent photo shows her recovering from a play date with her new boyfriend, Bonz the Bischon. :-)

UPDATE FROM LFS: Unfortunately Tonks was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily the cancer is limited to her breasts. Our vet immediately removed a big chunk of skin and all her nipples. The surgery was a success but she is in a lot of pain and will stay at the vet for at least 10 days recovering. The surgery and hospital stay will cost more than $1500. UPDATE FROM LFS: Tonks had her surgery and she is doing great. The stitches are finally out so she could come to adoption. She had a great time there playing with Lulu and Maya. What a great group of dogs we have right now.
