Scarlett's Story...
Meet Scarlett, a five year old purebred female bloodhound. Scarlett is named after her favorite screen character because of her tiny waist and petite figure. At 60 lbs, she’s a small girl, but she has a big heart and is full of love. She loves everyone….kids, adults, other dogs, cats (cats may be a little too interesting to her), and even the neighbors. She’s very mild tempered and sweet, and has perfect manners. She walks well on a leash, is potty trained, only barks when a group howl ensues, or when she’s protecting the house. She doesn’t counter surf or misbehave in any way…..there’s a first in Bloodhoundville! She loves her fellow dogs, and loves to run and play with them. She also has a distinctive habit of blowing bubbles with her nose in the kiddy pool in the yard. She loves a wet snout! She deserves and excellent home where she gets lots of love. Scarlett is being fostered near Tampa, FL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scarlett, a Carrollton Bloodhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bloodhound for sale in Carrollton, or seeking a Bloodhound dog from a breeder in Carrollton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carrollton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carrollton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bloodhound breeders who help with Bloodhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carrollton paves the way for another one to be saved.
