Willie's Story...
Age: 1 year

Weight: 6 lbs

Willie is a very exuberant little guy, full of kisses and playfulness.  He quickly learned the doggie door, and seems to be doing very well with house-training.  He would probably do well in an active household, including potentially children over the age of 5/6.  He has a beautiful white coat, the most interesting yellow-hazel eyes and somewhat floppy ears.  Needless to say, he is a great little personality who will enthusiastically love those around him.  He does well with crate training, and other dogs.  Right now, we are working on the "come" command with Willie as he likes to play a game of "catch" instead.  This December, we are going to start working on tricks with Willie to focus his energy and leverage what we believe is his quick learning ability.

Adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willie, a Austin Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Austin, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
