Lily&Azalea's Story...
These t hreekittens are about 5 months old and came from a litter of nine - okay, truth be told, it was two litters, but they all look the same and they happily shared the 2 moms they were found with, so how could we ever know who came from which mom?!

These lovely babies were found abandoned under a porch with their 2 mums at only one week old. They are okay with other cats and we still believe they should adjust to dogs, despite having seen that as dogs come and go they still arch their backs and puff their tails!

These kittens have been at the NHS since early June 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily&Azalea, a Port Hope Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Port Hope, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Port Hope.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Hope already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Hope breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Hope paves the way for another one to be saved.
