Joe's Story...
Meet Joe!!

Joe was taken in by our rescue partner in Mexico. Joe had been attacked by a bigger dog and dropped off at a vet office - never to be picked up. The vet had to remove one of his eyes but it hasn't slowed Joe down.

Joe is approx 2 years old and 4 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and dewormed.

Joe is currently fostered in Vancouver with other dogs, cats, and a toddler. He can sometimes be fearful of larger dogs but after proper introductions Joe learns how to be friends.

If you feel you can provide Joe a loving forever home please fill out an adoption application at, www.penniesfordogs.org/adoption_application.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joe, a Vancouver Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
