Uno*adoption pending!*'s Story...
Hello World!!
My name is Uno, and can you believe how HANDSOME I am? My foster mom says I am super duper gorgeous!
I am a 1 year old bully baby boy looking for a home to call my own. How did I end up in rescue? Let me tell you my story.
My previous owner brought me to an Emergency Animal Hospital and said that he can’t afford to take care of me because I had an infection in my salivary gland. My face was swollen and sore and my owner didn’t want to deal with it. He paid for my euthanasia and left.
The nice people at the animal hospital called the Humane Society to see if they could help me out in any way. They did! They picked me up and brought me to their clinic, gave me my vaccines, fed me, had me checked by their vets, and then called Love-A-Bull Rescue to take me in.
The rescue gals came right away to pick me up, and they almost cried when they saw how swollen my face was! They took me to see the rescue vet, Alma School Animal Hospital in Mesa. I got put on some good antibiotics and I am a new man!
The rescue girls couldn’t believe how my previous owner would just have had me put to sleep! If you could see what a wonderful dog I am, you would wonder the same.
Well, that is all behind me now. I know I will have a home soon who will love me for me and never treat me badly.
Now, onto my personality! WOW! I am darn near perfect! I am housetrained, I am not a barker, I LOVE female dogs and I wiggle HEAD TO TOE whenever any human looks at me! Mr. Personality! I am still a pup even though I am 54 lbs! I am all wiggles, and I can do a ‘jump and kiss’ combo on you like you have never seen!
I have never been around cats, so a home without kitties will be necessary. No male dogs, but a female who is playful is perfect by me! I LOVE to play! I spin with excitement and joy when I get to chase a ball in the yard.
As far as kids go, I would do well with older kids 8 and up. They have to be able to be accepting of a big ol’ dude like me trying to sit on their lap!
There just isn’t enough time to explain what a wonderful dog I am. I am full of zest and personality and I am going to make an amazing dog for some lucky family!
Remember this, I am a 10 plus year commitment. I will be required to take a training class at Petsmart so I can bond with my new owner.
I am a very healthy boy, but remember, with an English bulldog, there will be ongoing trips to the vet and restrictions, so if you are looking for a simple, low maintenance breed, I am not the guy for you! I am going to require someone who is home a lot and can give me a lot of attention. Bulldog experience is a bonus!

I will be ready for an adoption mid December, but my foster mom will be approving homes for me now.*****MY ADOPTION DONATION IS $650 which covers the cost of my surgery, microchip, neuter and vaccinations.

You MUST fill out an application if you want to be considered for my home. NO inquiries will be returned without an application on file. We DO NOT adopt outside of Arizona, and we do not adopt to homes with more than 2 dogs.

The adoption donation fees are based on age, health and needed vet care of the dogs we have taken in. The younger, healthier dogs help to pay for their cousins that need a little more TLC. You adoption donation fee also covers the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip of your new dog.
All of our dogs are in foster homes around the Phoenix area. We require an application to be filled out, a home check to be done, and vet reference check to be complete before having you come meet the dog of your dreams! We will ONLY contact you when we have a potential match.
We take a lot of time to get to know our dogs in rescue. Some are barkers, which cannot go into condos or apartments, some require companionship of other dogs, and some are not good with children. Each dog is unique!
YES! That is why even if you are not ready to adopt, get your application into us if you want to be considered for a future adoption.
Well, you have come to the wrong place. Rescue dogs on average are between 3 and 7 years old, we do not get puppies into rescue. We would, however, be able to refer you to a reputable breeder.
If you are looking for a cheap bulldog by choosing rescue, need not apply! Rescue dogs are dogs that are going to need ongoing vet care, and a lot of love and training from their new humans. We only adopt to homes that truly want to RESCUE a homeless bulldog. This is not the place to find a “cheaper” bulldog.
We will contact you when we believe we have a dog that is a match.
Please remember: Not only are bulldogs adorable and cute, they are also high-maintenance and expensive! ☺

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Uno*adoption pending!*, a Gilbert English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
