Thelma's Story...
Thelma here…you know, of Thelma and Louise…can you believe I survived that crash?! Me and Louise, driving right into the Grand Canyon, hand in hand in a convertible! Well, we landed in a Poplar tree, I’ve been on the lamb ever since. I’m ready to live a straight life as a dog from here on out.... Maybe you can help me out? I’m a sweet little gal, just like my gal pal Louise…great with other dogs and children too. I’m quiet, easy going, affectionate and fun too. What else could you ask for?

1 years old-13lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thelma, a Portland Cairn Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cairn Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a Cairn Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
