4349 Doug's Story...
Meet Doug, a six month old, male, Retriever/Lab mix who was picked up as a stray in Jerome, Idaho and spent over a month looking for a home. When the Jerome shelter could no longer hold onto him Fuzzy Pawz Rescue took him into foster care.

Doug is so sweet and somehow has seemed to house train himself practically overnight!

He loves to lie at our feet while we watch TV; he is a calm, quiet pup who wants to please. He is getting really good at not jumping up and he can sit and lay on command every time. He loves to play ball! Doug is eager to please his people and learns new thing very quickly!

He really likes playing in the snow and has gone great with the other dogs in the foster home! He has also touched noses with a cat and did not chase.

Doug will make any household the perfect family pet!!

If you feel you can offer Doug a great forever home please contact his foster mom Shanna through this posting

There is a $40 adoption fee, plus the cost of his neuter and vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

4349 Doug, a Jerome Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Jerome, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Jerome.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jerome already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jerome breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jerome paves the way for another one to be saved.
